Education purposes of  basic course:

1. Presenting the basic knowledge required for clinical applications.
2. Describing the basic principles (about instruments, units, ergonomics, patient selection,etc) and presenting commonly-used laparoscopic techniques.
3. Practical educational intervals for improving and optimizing the performance of basic technical skills in laparoscopic surgery ,bimanual & hand-eye coordination, and extracorporealing knotting techniques.
4. Describing potential complications & outcomes of laparoscopic procedures.

 

 

By the end of the course:

Practical Programs:

• Introduction to laparoscopic equipments (Insufflators , light source , camera , CCD , CCU , lens , monitor , recorder)
• Introduction to laparoscopic instruments.
• Introduction to Electro surgery (monopolar , bipolar , ligasure , hemoclip , ultracision)
• Veres needle , and open trucar method.
• Marking with zero-degree lens , direction finding , adjustments , magnification
• working with thirty-degree lens, estimation of dimensions and gaps.
• Grasping , transferring (paging through the book , bean drap , puzzles)

- Grasping, hand-to-hand  transferring , cutting the pictures , chipping

- Dissection of the chicken wing’s skin with monopolar cautery

- Dissection of the chicken thigh muscle with scissors , cautery ,and dissectors

- Dissection of  Achillus tendon and extracorporeal knotting around it
